Hallmark Robby vs Masudaya Robby

Closeup dome detail. Notice antennae as well. The Hallmark version is much more accurately detailed. In Masudayas defense theirs is a wind-up and therefore intended as toy so fine details would have been omitted by design.

The Hallmark Robby lit up. Beautiful. He also speaks several quips from the 1954 movie, Forbidden Planet. The voice work is very well done although afficianados can tell the difference.

Here you can see the color difference. I'm not at all sure which one is more accurate as Robby was painted differently in his numerous TV and film appearances. He was also outfitted with different apparatus throughout his "career". Supposedly they both are intended to be from his Forbidden Planet origin movie but even so I do not know which is his correct color.

Robby's with their respective boxes and the stainless bracket I've been making specifically for the Masudaya Robby. This bracket is made to mount Robby at the entrance to the center ramp on the Twilight Zone pinball machine. The bracket makes Robby visible to the player and sets him at the correct level on both axis. It should adapt well to the Hallmark Robby as well.
